How to Make the Teaching of FFA Facts and History Come Alive

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

It is a miracle that some students join the FFA after enduring a boring unit about the FFA that consists primarily of a long list of dates and other bland information regarding the organization. It doesn't have to be this way! One could explain why the FFA thought about buying a B-29 bomber during WWII and how Miss America of 1950 contributes to the rich history of the FFA. A 1938 film "The Greenhand" could be shown. A live recording of a NFA quartet singing or the song "I am in love with a Boy of the FFA" could be played. In this workshop, suggestions and online resources from the FFA History Central web site and the Friday Footnote will be shared. Historical FFA artifacts will also be displayed.
